This might sound weird but I think every woman should experience natural without medications. I had my first son without medications and had to have a C-section with my twins. I like the Netherland very interesting. Thanks for sharing.
As I was reading your previous post regarding your childbirth experience with your daughter made me remember some of the things my grandmother told me to do to go into labor such as walking or drinking castor oil. I did those things not considering the effect it could have had on my child. Sandra, I think it may be safe to say that some of the trauma during the birth may have had an impact on your daughter's development. On the other hand, you can not blame yourself for her cognitive disability. As for the birthing process in the Netherlands, I almost said that they were very similar to the US with the lack of doctor's interaction during the birth, but I went on to read that this was during the pregnancy. With the limited doctor's visit, I wonder what is their mortality rate during labor. I wonder about early detection. How can they effectively monitor the development of the fetus?
